JSMO-Rising Stars in Asia Workshop (JSMO-RISA Workshop) 2025

Dear all members of JSMO

 JSMO appreciated your kind understandings and cooperation to activities of JSMO.
 JSMO plans to carry out workshop program following previous year aimed to incubate/ collaborate with young Oncology physicians in Asia region. In workshop in 2022, Participants really enjoyed to exchange opinions through exciting discussion in programs. In 2023, We plan to join Japanese colleagues joining from day1 with Asian colleagues. Objectives of this program which is managed by JSMO international committee are such as follows,

  1. Incubate next generation leaders of Oncology Specialist in Asian region through interaction and networking
  2. In terms of knowledge and skills which will not learn from daily practice, this program gives opportunity to get enrich wide covered comprehensive knowledge that may use for daily practice immediately.
  3. Provide opportunity to establish networking in audience that may reach design/ execution of international clinical trial in future

Official language of this program is English.
Target audience is planned young (under 45yo) Oncology specialist (Welcomes Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and more), 10-20 physicians from Asia region and 10-20 physicians from Japan. Selected members of this program will be award in The 22nd JSMO annual meeting 2025. JSMO will be welcomed your application.

【Contents of this program (TBD, following program was previous one)】

  • Learn Cancer Genomic Medicine from basics of testing to Clinical application and translational research
  • Learn topics on Cancer Immunotherapy including latest clinical trial outcomes
  • Learn how to understand the results of gene panel test, how to provide the results to your patients throughout workshop with discussion on differences of Asian countries
  • Learn comprehensive and systematic overview on design and execution of clinical trial
  • Learn systematic review to read academic papers and statically interpretation in workshop in other Asian countries
  • Communicate other Asian country Oncology physicians by discussion and know daily practice in other Asian countries

【Qualification requirements with document screening】

■Attendee from Japan

  • Under 45y.o. at application
  • Oncology specialist (Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and etc.)
  • Have a Doctor License(Graduate student is acceptable, College student is not acceptable)
  • English communication skill is required
  • JSMO membership is mandatory
  • Not required but better to apply your abstract for The 22nd JSMO annual meeting 2025

  • Asia region (Any Asian country is welcomed)
  • Under 45y.o. at application
  • Oncology specialist (Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and etc.)
  • Have a Doctor License(Graduate student is acceptable, College student is not acceptable)
  • It is not mandatory submission of abstract or given travel grant on the 22th JSMO annual meeting, however priority selection to them in case of over submissions.
  • English communication skill is required
